Mrs. Bessie Lois Stone Jordan, 85, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Jordan was born in Franklin County to Charlie Ervin Stone and Lila Woods Stone. She was the wife of the late Clifford Jeffery Jordan. Mrs. Jordan worked as a seamstress.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her children and their spouses: daughters Barbara Ann Lusk (James) and Linda Faye Floyd (Rabon); sons Thomas Jeffrey Jordan (Debbie) and Jimmy Ervin Jordan (Jo Ann). She is also survived by 2 stepdaughters, May Helen Turner and Dottie Cagle. Mrs. Jordan leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her husband and a grandchild, Nathan Jordan.
The funeral service celebrating Mrs. Jordan’s life will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel at Hicks Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Inerment will be at Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Tate, Georgia. Flowers will be graciously accepted.
