Judy Mae Hopper Day

Mrs. Judy Mae Hopper Day, 70, of 12 Budapest Drive, Hartwell, died Monday, March 21, of natural causes at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson SC.

Born on April 9, 1940 in Forest City NC, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Hopper. She was a retired inspector at Clark Schwebel in Anderson SC and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her mother, Dessie Jane Elms Hopper of Forest City NC; a daughter, Pamela “Pam” Day Dutton of Hartwell; two sisters, Linda Harris of Forest City NC, Vickie Dover of Spindale NC; two brothers, Warren “Warnee” Hopper and Eddy Hopper both of Forest City NC; eight grandchildren, William “Billy”, Kendall, and Christiana “Christy” Dutton, Brandon, Kelly and Rebecca “Allie” Day, Hunter and Brittany Hillard and six great-grandchildren, Chase, Hannah, Connor, Kaylee, Alexander “Alex” Dutton and Mason Medlin also survive. Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Day; a son, William “Bud” Albert Day; a sister, Faye Green and a brother, Ricky Hopper.

Graveside services will be Saturday March 26 at 2:00 PM at the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ben Coleman.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7 PM to 9PM on Friday March 25.
