Mr. Mitchell Cline "Mickey" Bowman, age 54, of Elberton, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 4pm from the Chapel of Calhoun Falls Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis Duck will officiate and burial will follow in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm in Calhoun Falls Funeral Home.
Mr. Bowman was born in Greenville County, South Carolina, to Orion Elmer Bowman and Margaret LouEllen Newton Bowman. Mr. Bowman was employed with Prysmian Cables of Abbeville, South Carolina. He is preceded in death by cousin and best friend, Fred Hampton.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Thelma G. "Jet" Bowman of Elberton; children and children-in-law, Heather Bowman Harper, Tanna & Rodger Green, Blake & Jennifer Bowman, Michelle Willis, all of Elberton, Tara Manley of Abbeville, and Mikey Willis of Ware Shoals; grandchildren, Corey Price, Breanna Price, Chase Green, Landon Bowman, Alec Bowman, all of Elberton, Deanna Willis, Haley Willis, and Kearstin Willis, all of Greenwood; mother, Ellen Bowman of Elberton; six brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
