Mr. Johnnie H. Rhodes, age 81, of Calhoun Falls, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2009.The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 2pm from the Northside Baptist Church. Rev. Brian Hatchet will officiate and burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will be at the residence of his son and will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm in Calhoun Falls Funeral Home.
Born on November 20, 1928, Mr. Rhodes was a dedicated member of Northside Baptist Church where he served a Sunday School teacher and past deacon. He was also a long time, dedicated, and devoted employee of Calhoun Falls Funeral Home. A wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, Johnnie will be greatly missed by his many dear friends. His wife, the late Monnell Rhodes, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Lois Rhodes; grandchildren, Brittany, Hannah, Phillip, & Anna Grace Rhodes; and sisters, Runette Putnam and Katie Faye Rhodes. A number of friends and other relatives also survive.
