Eleanor Walton

Mrs. Eleanor Williams Walton, age 83, of Washington, passed away on October 6, 2009 in Medical College of Georgia.

The graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 2pm from Resthaven Cemetery. Rev. Gale Seibert will officiate and Tommy Walton, Jeremy Walton, David Walton, Nick Walton, Dan Allen, and Dwayne Slaton will serve as pallbearers

She was a native of Breckenridge Kentucky, the daughter of the late S. W. Williams and Lura Butler Williams. Mrs. Walton had worked at Almar and was also a Teacher’s Aide, and a member of First United Methodist Church of Washington.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Walton; four sons, Michael Walton and wife, Johanna of Warner Robins, Shelby Walton and wife, Betty, of Lincolnton, James Walton of Washington and Brian Walton and wife, Becky of Appling; one sister, Jeanetta Drain, Hudson, Kentucky; one brother, L.K. Williams, Buckingham, Virginia; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8p.m. at Hopkins Funeral Home.
