Mr. Ozie C. Moss, age 89, a "young-at-heart" loving father and husband, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 in Hospice Care of the Piedmont
The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 2pm from Northside Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Dalton and Rev. Billy Penson will officiate and burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8pm in the funeral home. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to Calhoun Falls Fire Department or Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646.
Mr. Moss served in the US Army during WWII and was very active in Calhoun Falls Fire Department for over 50 years as well as other community activities. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 59 years, Doris Wiles Moss and six brothers.
Survivors include his daughters, Dina (Darrell) Manning of Calhoun Falls, Carolyn (Otis) Bryant of Iva, Sharon Wilson of Taylors; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces; and nephews.
