Mrs. Mary Ruth Holland Madden passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2009.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 2pm from the Fortsonia Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Gibson will officiate and burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence of Terry Madden, 2231 Washington Highway, Elberton, and will receive friends from 1-2 Friday just prior to the service in the church. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in her honor to Fortsonia Baptist Church Building Fund.
Born in Bleckley County, she was a daughter of the late Elzie Perry Holland and Ruth Pace Holland. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar B. Madden; and a son, Russell B. Madden.
Survivors include her daughters, Denise Madden Stovall and Debbie Lynn Madden Young; sons, Gregory 'Keith' Madden and Wayne Terrell "Terry" Madden; daughter-in-law, Janice Hyde Madden; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
