Gladelle Dixon

Mrs. Gladelle Glenn Dixon, age 78, of Elberton passed away on Monday, September 14, 2009 in Elbert Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 4pm from the Hicks Funeral Home Chapel. Revs. Albert Huyck and Wes Privett will officiate and burial will follow in Fortsonia Community Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Randall and Martha Gunter, 2383 Washington Highway, Elberton, and will receive friends from 2-4 Tuesday just prior to the service in the funeral home. Born in Oglethorpe County on January 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Reece and Louise Carlisle Glenn. Mrs. Dixon was a long-time member Eliam United Methodist Church and had been a resident of Nancy Hart Nursing Home for the last four years. Her husband of 52 years, George Martin Dixon preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa and M. Lynn Lee, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Amy Brown Dixon; grandchildren, Mitchell Lee, Kaylee Dixon, Miranda Lee, and Brandon; and sisters, JoAnn Evans, all of Elberton, and Eudora Huyck of Tignall.
