C.R. Berg

Mr. Clarence R. “C.R.” Berg, age 70, of 420 Cedar Creek Circle, Hartwell, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2009 in Greenville Memorial Hospital.

The funeral services will held on Wednesday, August 5 at 2pm from the Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church. Rev. Harrison Lampley and Rev. Rabon Stewart will officiate and burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 to lie instate until the hour of service. The body is in The Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to:

Born on December 13, 1930 in Dearbrook WI, he was the son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Richard O. Berg. He was a partner in Febmetco, member of Ducks Unlimited and an avid sportsman.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Edwards Berg of the home; three sons, Richard Berg of Rydal GA, Ralph Berg of Gainesville GA and Daniel Berg of Athens GA; a daughter, Anne Marie Addison of Hartwell GA; three sisters; three grandchildren, Hunter Berg, Michael Addison and Rachel Addison and two step-granddaughters, Laura Addison and Haley Addison also survive.
