Alton Childs

Mr. Thomas Alton Childs, age 101, of 3926 Brad Dixon Road, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2009.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 3pm from the Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-3 just prior to the service in Woodlawn United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:

Survivors include his wife of 76 years, Alice Ruth Scott Childs; daughters, Faye Mills, Carolyn E. "Liz" Jones, Nona Churney, and Sandra Aeckstein; sons, Billy Childs and Tom Childs; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
