Lillian Jones

Lillian Daniel Jones, age 78, of River Road, Elberton died on Wednesday, March 25, 2009.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 2pm from the memorial chapel in Berry Funeral Home. Rev. Wesley Privett will officiate and internment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will be at the home on River Road in Fortsonia and will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 Friday night in Berry Funeral Home.

Ronnie Dean

Ronnie Robert Dean, age 60, of 2604 Reagin Drive, Elberton died March 19, 2009.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 4pm from the memorial chapel in Berry Funeral Home. Alan Bright will officiate. The family will be at the home, 2604 Reagin Drive and will receive friends from 2-4 Saturday just prior to the service in Berry Funeral Home.

Jack Bruce

Mr. Jack E. Bruce, age 63 of Elberton passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009.

There are no public services at this time.

He worked for 35 years as an iron worker. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jack Bruce, Jr., Jim and Melissa Bruce, and Josh and Angela Bruce; daughter and son-in-law, Trisha and Daniel Masterson; grandchildren, Lensey W. Bruce, Corey J. Bruce, Bethany Masterson, Brendon Masterson, Connor Bruce, and Destinee Bruce; brothers, James Bruce, Monk Bruce, and Norris Bruce; and sister, Janice Spires.

Earl Sellars

Earl Sellars passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 in his home in Elberton.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11am from Oak View Baptist Church, Jeff Davis. Mr. Sellars will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Randy Vaughn and Rev. Charles Davis will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include his nephews, Winston Hutcheson, LeRoy Hutcheson, Johnnie Vaughn, Jerry Vaughn, LaVan Vaughn, Barton Hall, Chuck Sellers, and David Sellers. The family will receive friends from 6-8, Thursday, March 17, 2009 from the chapel in Swain Funeral Home. Remembrances may be made to VistaCare Hospice. 150 Ben Burton Road, Bogart, GA 30622.

Mr. Sellers was born on August 13, 1928 in Hazlehurst, GA to the late Ubia Samuel Sellers and the late Ruth Owens Sellers. He was a US Navy Veteran and retired from Floyd S. Pike Electrical Contractors. Mr. Sellers as of the Baptist Faith. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and loved to share with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnell Hall.

Paul Giannoni

Paul Giannoni, age 81, of 900 Oakhill Road, Elberton, died on Friday, March 13, 2009.

The memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 2pm from Elberton First United Methodist Church. The family welcomes everyone to join them in a "celebration of life" at their at home, 900 Oakhill Road, Elberton, GA. They may be reached by phone at 706-283-2745. Born in 1926, Paul grew up in Elberton. He was the son of the late Joseph and Victoria Giannoni. Mr. Giannoni served in the US Army Pacific Theater in Korea during World War II and graduated from the University of Georgia. Paul was co-owner of Central Granite Company and served on the board of the First United Methodist Church. He managed the construction of Samuel Elberton Academy's gymnasium. Mr. Giannoni enjoyed life, friends, projects, and he especially loved his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Joe Giannoni.

Paul is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janie Giannoni; daughter, Brittiany Wright; son, Gary Giannoni and his wife, Pat; grandchildren, Courtney Giannoni Kessler and her husband, Luke, and Keegan Giannoni; and sister, Elma Giannoni Myers.

Imogene Brown

Imogene Floyd Brown, age 80, of Dewy Rose died on Friday, March 13, 2009.

Frankie Outz

Mr. Frankie James Outz, age 65, of 2063 Stephens Rd, Elberton, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at his home.

At the request of Mr. Outz, his body will be cremated. There will be a memorial gathering held on Tuesday, March 10 at his home on 2063 Stephens Road in Elberton. The family welcomes all visitors. The family will also hold a memorial service at a later date.

Born July 17, 1943 in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Ernest Outz and Rosie Lee Buffington Outz. Frank was retired from Eagle Granite Quarries as a heavy equipment operator. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran serving in 25th Infantry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Rosie; and brothers, George Thomas Outz and David Calvin Outz.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Weatherford Hammond Outz, of the home; sons, Matthew Outz of the home, PFC Cody Outz of Elberton, and Frankie J. Outz, Jr. of Hartwell; daughters, Suzanne Outz of the home and Tina Russell of Rock Hill, SC; brothers, Noah Outz of Bowman and Homer Outz of Hartwell; sister, Betty Jo Owens of Canon; two grandchildren, Chris and Pam Russell; two great-grandchildren, Makaila and Ayden James Cantrell; and several nieces and nephews.
