Sheila Marie Bannister, 62, of Elberton, GA, wife of Hazen Duane Bannister, Sr., died peacefully on Wednesday, February 02, 2011 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
She was born in Madison County Georgia to the late Clarence & Hulley Campbell Jordan. She retired from Spring Industries and was a member of Franklin Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Bryson, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Jo Jordan Olsey, Lillie Mae Jordan McCollum.
Surviving Mrs. Bannister is her husband of the home; a brother, James Jordan of Madison County, GA; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Bryson of Elberton, GA; a step-son, Hazen D. Bannister, Jr. of Honea Path, SC; a step daughter-in-law, Roxanne Cook of Iva, SC; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two step- great-grandchildren and thirteen nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2:00PM Friday, February 4, 2011 in the Iva City Cemetery with the Rev. James Bannister officiating.
