Archie Bailey Robinson, 70, of 1214 Crestview Drive, Elberton, husband of Barbara Ann Robinson, died on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at his residence.
Born on August 25, 1939 in Elbert County, he was a son of the late Thomas Robinson and Jessie Mae Saxon Robinson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a step-son, John V. Grimes.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Barbara Ann Robinson; step-daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and John Hinckley of Missoula, Montana; step-son, Douglas Grimes of Calhoun Falls, SC; grandchildren, Sarah Gingrich, Laura Hinckley, and Matthew Hinckley, of Missoula, Montana, Cory Grimes of Elberton, and Kyle Grimes of Wooster, Ohio; and brothers, Norman Robinson and James Robinson of Elberton. Several other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 2:30PM in the Elmhurst Cemetery with Reverend Jay Aiken officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM just prior to the service on Thursday at Hicks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Elbert County EMS.
Pallbearers will include Jordan Black, Cory Grimes, Walter Mills, Rodney Page, Clay Page, and Terry Mills.
