Darlene Estelle Banks, age 73, of Elberton, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be at the McKinney Neal Mortuary between the hours of 10am and 7pm on Monday for viewing.
Mrs. Banks was, along with her husband, the owner of Banks BBQ in Elberton.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Banks; children, Thomas L. Banks, Leon White, Calissa Jones, Doris Mason, Angela Banks, Minnie Banks, Theodocia Banks and Arlene Smith; brother, Clarence Fortson; 15 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Gardenview Funeral Chapel in Athens and McKinney - Neal Mortuary in Elberton in in charge of arrangements.
