Mr. Billy Edward Bryson, Jr., age 39, of 3386 Rock Branch Road, Elberton, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in Emory University Hospital. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 2pm from the Rock Branch Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Wright will officiate and burial will follow in the Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The body is in The Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday night. The family is at the home. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to the Rock Branch Baptist Church Youth Fund, 2150 Coldwater Road, Elberton, Georgia 30635 or to The Barnes Academy, 154 Hart Service Road, Hartwell, Georgia 30643.
He was born on October 9, 1970 in Elbert County, the son of Sheila Jordan and Bill Bryson. He was employed by AutoZone of Lavonia and Bryson Backhoe of Canon. Mr. Bryson was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church; an active leader of the R.A.’s and was strong in his faith. Billy was a loving husband, father and son.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Ann O’Tuel Bryson of the home; daughters, Jena Marie Ann Bryson and Andrea Grace Bryson; son, William Nathaniel Bryson all of the home; mother and stepfather, Sheila Jordan and Dwaine Bannister; and his father Bill Edward Bryson, Sr. and Dotty Martin.
