Mr. James "J.M." Hulme, Jr., age 96, of 1723 Deep Creek Road, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2009.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 2pm from the Dewy Rose Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 just prior to the service in the church. Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made in his honor to Dewy Rose Baptist Church or to Heardmont Nursing Home Activities Account.
He was a son of the late James Madison Hulme, Sr. and Victoria Burdette Hulme and the widower of the late Hilda Snellings Hulme.
Survivors include sons, James Donald Hulme, Douglas Warren Hulme, and John Thornton Hulme; sisters, Carolyn H. Busby and Evelyn H. Horton; brother, Victor T. Hulme; grandchildren, Lee Anne Freeman, Jim Hulme, Rena Youngblood, Amy Howard, and Jake Hulme; and nine great-grandchildren.
