David Michael Pace

Mr. David Michael Pace, age 32, of Nahunta, GA, formerly of Hartwell, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 in Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 11am from the Chapel of The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Clay Huff, Mr. Josh Osbrne, and Mr. Bobby Howell will officiate and burial will follow in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The body is in the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday night. The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to help defray funeral expenses in the care of Arnold Strickland of The Strickland Funeral Home.

Born August 9, 1977 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the Ernest T. "Ernie" Pace and late Judy Osborne Pace. He was a member of Reed Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a sister, Cindy L. Eaton.

Survivors include his son, David Pace, Jr. of Nahunta, GA; stepdaughter, Alyssa Kenn of Nahunta, GA; father and stepmother, Ernest T. "Ernie" and Betty Smith Pace of Athens; sister and brother-in-law, Mitzi and Rusty Royston of Royston; nephews, Landon and Logan Fleeman; and niece, Aspen Royston.
