Anne Folks

Mrs. Anne Latimer Folks, of Spanish Forst, Alabama formerly of Washington, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009 at her home after a long illness.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11am from the Washington Presbyterian Church.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Latimer. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, the Magna Carta Society, the American Contract Bridge Association and First Presbyterian Church of Spanish Fort, Alabama. The family requests that memorials be made to:

Survivors include her husband, William Martin Folks; daughter, Mary Phelps Mellen and husband, Henry, of Birmingham, Alabama; son Edward King Phelps and wife, Sandy of Hillsboro, Oregon; four granddaughters, Katherine Mellen Trammell (Buddy), Rushton Mellen Walthack (Derek) of Birmingham, Ala, Mackenzie Spratlin Phelps and Kirsten Colleen Phelps of Hillsboro, Oregon; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Wright Latimer Blue of Washington.
