Frank Ramsey

Mr. Charles Franklin “Frank” Ramsey, age 89, of 162 Stillwood Dr, Hartwell, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in his home.

The memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. from the Abundant Life Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Brewer will officiate and burial of cremains will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN. Memorials may be made to:

Born February 3, 1920 in Glen City, MO he was the son of the late Charles Ramsey and Bertie Allen Ramsey. He was retired from Perdue University – Calumet as maintenance supervisor. Mr. Ramsey was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, The Young at Heart, and he was a Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Helen Louise Ramsey.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Harris Thompson Ramsey of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Randall “Randy” and Nan Ramsey of Aurora, CO; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy Jacobs, of Hartwell, Carol Ramsey of Hartwell, Kathy and Mel Stelter of Dyer, IN and Linda and Butch Robinson of Hartwell; step-brother, George Ramsey.; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
