Mrs. Barbara Jean Doker Middleton, age 72, of 571 Old Canon Church Rd, Bowersville, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009 in Heritage Health Care at Grandview in Athens.
The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 11am from the Sacred Hear of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Terence Kane will officiate and the body is being cremated. The family is at 122 Sanders Circle, Hartwell.
Born August 9, 1936 in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Claude J. Doker and Mary Nell Bray Doker. Mrs. Middleton was retired from the Hartwell Company as a Seamstress and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by parents; husband, Owen “Buck” Middleton; son, Johnny Ray Middleton; and a sister, Mary Daniel.
Survivors include her sons, Terrell Middleton of Hartwell and Billy Middleton of Bowersville; brother, Kenneth Doker of Lavonia; sisters, Bonita Phillips of Huntsville, AL and Charlotte Blackwell of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
