Charlie Fowler

Mr. Charlie N. Fowler, age 83, of Elberton, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 2pm from the Hicks Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rand Freer will officiate and burial will follow in the Mausoleum in Forest Hills Memorial Park will full military honors. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-2 just prior to the service in Hicks Funeral Home.

Mr. Fowler was born in Franklin County to the late Pete and Elizabeth Bowers Fowler. He worked as a meat cutter and clerk for Jolly John's Grocery. Charlie also retired from the U.S. Army National Guary in 1968. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Cerlester Adams Fowler.

Survivors include extended family members, Dennis and Susan Dixon of Elberton.
