Bobby Joe Robertson

Mr. Bobby Joe Robertson, age 66, of 785 Providence Church Road, Lavonia, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Cobb Memorial Hospital.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 2pm from the Hartwell Chapel of The Strickland Funeral Home. Revs Ken Brewer, Johnny Stowe, and Mr. Fred Greenway will officate. The body is being cremated. Visitors will be received by the family on Friday, May 15, 2009 from 6-8pm in The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.

The family has requested that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to help defray his nephew, Scott Robertson's, medical expenses. The may be sent to:

Born on November 13, 2009 in Hart County, he was the son of the late James Felix and Clyde Mackey Robertson. Mr. Robertson was retired from Monroe/Tenneco with 44 years of service as an electrician. Bobby Joe served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Robertson.

Survivors include four brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Marie Robertson of Fayetteville, Leon and Shirley Robertson of Hartwell, Neal and Sherry Robertson of Stockbridge, and Jerry and Carole Robertson of Hartwell; one sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Alton Howell of Hartwell; one sister-in-law, Debra Wilson and her husband Ray of Elberton; and several nieces and nephews.
