Imogene Floyd Brown, age 80, of Dewy Rose died on Friday, March 13, 2009.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 2pm from Liberty Congregational Holiness Church. Reverend Jim Winn and Keith Floyd will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Saturday in Hicks Funeral Home. Prior to visitation, the family will be at the home of Martha and Howard Bray, 1975 Ruby Drive in Dewy Rose. Flowers will be accepted and those wishing to make memorial contributions may to so to Liberty Congregational Holiness Church, 2291 Liberty Church Road, Dewy Rose, GA 30634.
A lifelong resident of Dewy Rose, Imogene was the daughter of the late Harmon and Ruby Floyd. She was married to the late Ralph Brown. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Lester, Hugh, and DeWitt Floyd.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Howard Bray, and Barbara and Billy Churney; son, Terry and Karen Brown; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Walter J., William, and Melvin Floyd; sisters, Virginia Brown, Thelma Lunsford, Joyce Scarborough; Ellen Ramey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
