Lenora Lunsford

Mrs. Leonora Ogletree Lunsford, age 94, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009 in University Hospital.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 11am from Hopkins Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Rayner will officiate and burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 just prior to the service in Hopkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be mat to the Phillips Mill Baptist Church.

She was a native of Taliaferro County, the daughter of the late Othur B. and Elma Dunn Ogletree. Mrs. Lunsford was a retired sewing machine operator for Royal Manufacturing and a member of Phillips Mill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lunsford.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Propes of Ellenwood, Annie Norene Strickland of Cartersville and Ruth and Edward C. Doughty pf Fairfax, VA; two sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley and John Cowart of Powder Springs and Alma Fuller of Avondale Estates; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
