Betty Boleman

Mrs. Betty Lovern Boleman, of 1540 Reed Creek School Rd, Hartwell GA, died Friday, August 21 in her home.

Born March 9, 1932 in Anderson, S.C., she was the daughter of the late William Edward Lovern and Exie Verdell Bobo Lovern. She was a homemaker,attended Anderson College, member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church, WMU, Former Sunday School Teacher, bible school and church artist. She was a member of the Nancy Hart Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include sons, Brad Boleman and wife Julie of Hartwell, Ga., Bruce Boleman and wife Lisa of Hartwell, Ga., and Bill Boleman and wife Darina of Hartwell, Ga., daughter, Beth Howell and husband Greg of Hartwell, Ga., sister, Peggy Smith of Douglasville, Ga. Five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Furman Deland Boleman, brothers, Julian Lovern and Rev. Lloyd Lovern and by sister, Nona Faye Sanders.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Reed Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Grant Ethridge and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at 10:30 a.m. The family will be at the home. The body is at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening. Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 150 Ben Burton Road, Bogart, Ga. 30622
