Andrew Malloy Agnew, age 79, of 1073 Thirteen Forks Road, Elberton, Ga., died March 26, 2011 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 28, 1932, in Hart County, Ga., son of the late Waco and Margaret Agnew. Mr. Agnew served his country in the Korean War with the Navy.
Mr. Agnew is survived by his wife of 52 years; Carolyn Carter Agnew, son; Mitch (Dee) Agnew, three grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister; Marie Nelson of Monroe, sister; Anna Gilson of Duluth, brothers; Gerald Agnew and Robert Agnew of Hartwell.
Mr. Agnew was preceded in death by his parents; Waco and Margaret Agnew.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hicks Funeral
Home Chapel. Visitation will be on Monday March 28, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hicks Funeral
Home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice or flowers will be graciously accepted.
Interment will be at Concord United Methodist Cemetery following the service.
