Jason Ashley Sanders

Jason Ashley Sanders, 36, of 1135 Sutton Way, Elberton, husband of the late Candace Giannoni Sanders, died Tuesday morning, March 22, 2011.

Mr. Sanders was born in Anderson County, SC, June 1, 1974, son of Karen Ridgeway Sanders and the late Charles Thomas "Tom" Sanders, Jr. He was a member of the Elberton First Baptist Church and worked in the construction industry.

Left to cherish his memories are children, Landon Thomas Sanders, Mariah Hobbs, both of Elberton, Destin Wheeler, Alexis Wheeler, both of Rising Fawn, Georgia, Jessica Goodnaugh of Anderson, South Carolina, and Layla Sanders of Elberton; mother, Karen Ridgeway Sanders; brother, Russ Sanders of Atlanta; sister, Juli S. Hall of Penscola, Florida; and grandparents, Doris Ridgeway and Tommy Whitworth, of Elberton. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive.

Mr. Sanders is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Vincent Sanders; and grandparents, Jack Ridgeway and Charles Thomas, Sr. and Josephine Lunsford Sanders.

Services to celebrate and honor his life will be held on Sunday, March 27, at 2PM at the Elberton First Baptist Church with Reverend Ken Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family is at the residence of Tommy and Doris Ridgeway Whitworth, 1051 Ruckersville Road, Elberton and will receive friends from 1-2PM Sunday, just prior to the service in the fellowship hall of Elberton First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will include Phil Berryman, Jon Tomlin, Stephen Ridgeway, Eric Berryman, Justin Ridgeway, and Kenneth Sanders.

The family greatly appreciates all flowers, and memorials may be made in his honor to the charity of one's choice.
