Tina Marie Thornton, 40, of 1537 Cabin Creek Drive, Elberton, mother of Bailee Ann Thornton, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011, at her home on Lake Hartwell.
Ms. Thornton was born in Franklin County, June 11, 1970, daughter of Eddie Frank Teasley and Sammy Carol Smith Craft. She was a secretary with Star Granite Company.
Survivors include her boyfriend, Thomas Edward "Jabo" Veal of Elberton; daughter, Bailee Ann Thornton of Elberton; father, Eddie Frank Teasley of Lavonia; mother, Sammy Craft of Martin; sister and brother-in-law, Tonya and Lee Nelms of Royston; and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. William Hill of Augusta and Sara Smith of Hartwell.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, February 15, at 2PM at the Elberton First Baptist Church with Reverend Marshall Vaughn and Kathy Luke officiating. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at 50 Lighthouse Cove Road, Hartwell, and will receive friends from 6-9PM Monday night, at Berry Funeral Home.
Ms. Thornton will be placed in the church at 12Noon Tuesday to lie in state until the service hour.
Pallbearers will include Greg Parker, D.J. Nestor, Mike Graviley, Mark Adams, Rick Adams, and Sid Gailey.
Flowers will be graciously accepted and donations may be made in her honor to the Bailee Ann Thornton Scholarship Fund at Regions Bank.
