Len Perdue

Mr. Lensey N. “Len” Perdue, 50, of 548 Memorial Road, Hartwell, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Hart County Hospital.

Born on October 30, 1960 in Commerce GA, he was the son of Ruby Garrison Perdue Benton and the late J.L. Perdue. He was a Production Supervisor at Glen Row, a member of the Price Chapel Church of God, and a served on the Board of Directors for “We Have a Hope Christian Ministries”.

He is survived by his mother: Ruby Benton of Monroe, GA; his wife: Tina Perdue of the home; one son: Derrick Perdue and his wife Miriam of Jefferson, GA; and one brother and two sisters also survive. Mr. Perdue was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Price Chapel Church of God with Rev. Johnny Stowe, Mr. Jimmy Myerholtz, Mrs. Joyce Myerholtz, and Mr. Grant Myerholtz officiating. Burial will be in the Hembree Family Plot at the Grove Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Maysville GA.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday night. The family requests no flowers and wishes that the public bring a new, unwrapped toy or money to be distributed by the “We Have a Hope Christian Ministries” at Christmas. The family is at the home.
