Mr. William Eugene “Bill” Johnson, age 51, of Heardmont Nursing Home, Elberton, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.Born on September 8, 1958 in Elbert County, he was a son of Max A. and Ruby Standridge Johnson of Elberton. He worked in the granite industry as a polisher. Mr. Johnson was a resident of Heardmont Nursing Home for 8 months.
Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher Johnson, and Robbie and Ashley Johnson; granddaughters, Olivia and Cheyenne Johnson; parents, Max A. and Ruby Standridge Johnson; brother, Robert “Bob” Johnson; sister, Pamela Johnson, all of Elberton; and mother of his children, Brenda Mooney; and grandparents of his children, Pete and Georgia Bond, all of Elberton. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Hicks Funeral Home.
Flowers are optional, and memorials may be sent to Heardmont Nursing Home, 1043 Longstreet Road, Elberton, Georgia 30635 in Bill’s memory.
