Mr. George L. Bellew, age 92, of 621 River Road, Carlton, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2009.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 2PM from the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Dennis Bellew, 621 River Road, and will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday and again from 1-2 just prior to the service in Berry Funeral Home.
Born in Morgan County, he was a son of the late Luke Bellew and Cornelia Beal Bellew. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a retired mechanic, a Madison County Grey, and a U.S. Army Air Force veteran serving in WWII. George is preceded in death by his wife, Coralia Navarro Bellew; a sister, Emma Ruth Bellew; and brothers, Artie "A.J." Bellew, Tom Watson Bellew, and Charles Henry "C.H." Bellew.
Survivors include daughter, Marlene Parnell; son, Dennis George Bellew; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
