Carolyn Smith

Mrs. Carolyn Mamie Seymour Smith, age 82, of 184 Leard Street, Hartwell, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2009 in Hart County Hospital.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 2pm from the Holly Spring Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Westbrook will officiate and burial will follow in the Holly Spring Baptist Church cemetery. The body will be place in the church at 1pm Monday where the family will receive friends until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to:

Born on March 5, 1927 in Cheraw SC, she was the daughter of the late Steve Seymour and Mamie Ray Seymour. She was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church, WMU and Fidelis SS Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mathis Smith; a sister, Maggie Lee Seymour and three brothers, Obie Seymour, Jack Seymour and John Seymour.

Survivors include her son, Steven G. Smith of Hartwell and several nieces and nephews.
