Earl Sellars

Earl Sellars passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 in his home in Elberton.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11am from Oak View Baptist Church, Jeff Davis. Mr. Sellars will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Randy Vaughn and Rev. Charles Davis will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include his nephews, Winston Hutcheson, LeRoy Hutcheson, Johnnie Vaughn, Jerry Vaughn, LaVan Vaughn, Barton Hall, Chuck Sellers, and David Sellers. The family will receive friends from 6-8, Thursday, March 17, 2009 from the chapel in Swain Funeral Home. Remembrances may be made to VistaCare Hospice. 150 Ben Burton Road, Bogart, GA 30622.

Mr. Sellers was born on August 13, 1928 in Hazlehurst, GA to the late Ubia Samuel Sellers and the late Ruth Owens Sellers. He was a US Navy Veteran and retired from Floyd S. Pike Electrical Contractors. Mr. Sellers as of the Baptist Faith. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and loved to share with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnell Hall.

Sellers of Hazlehurst, GA, Comer Roger (Lois) Sellers of Hazlehurst, GA, James Alton Sellers of Hazlehurst, GA, Clyde Wayne (Rita) Sellers of Hazlehurst, GA; Grandchildren: Michelle and Keith Parker, Belinda Butts, Ricky Sellers; Great Grandchildren: Kain and Kailyn Butts.
