Melanie Teresa Carter, age 59 of Elberton, died on Wednesday, February 11, 2009.
The funeral service, that will be private, will be held at a later date.
She was the daughter of the late Lillian Worley Haralson and Carl Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alexa Ray
She is survived by her aunts and uncles, Mary and Lindy Worley, Gene Worley, and Shirley Worley of Elberton; niece Allie Ray; nephew Taylor Ray; brother-in-law Scotty Ray, all of St. Cloud, Florida; and many cousins.
