Margaret Bond Rucker, age 99, of 126 Brookside Drive, Elberton, widow of the late Thomas Bailey Rucker, died January 23, 2009.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 2pm from the chapel in Berry Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at the home, 126 Brookside Drive and will receive friends from 1-2 prior the the service in the funeral home.
Born in Elbert County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Carpenter Bond. A member of the Elberton First United Methodist Church, she was a retired physical education teacher.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Baldwin of Marietta, GA; sons, William "Bill" Rucker of Gramling, SC and James B. Rucker of Irmo, SC; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Flowers will not be accepted and memorials may be make to the Elberton First United Methodist Church.
