James "Jake" Thomas Conwell, age 82, of 1935 Athens Highway, Elberton Ga. passed away on January 27, in the Elbert County Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held Friday January 30, at 2:00pm from the Doves Creek Baptist Church. Internment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home and will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday night from the viewing parlor in Berry Funeral Home.
Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in his honor to Doves Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Baggett Conwell, sons and daughters-in-law Jerry and Sherry Conwell, Larry and Pat Conwell, daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Steve Baughcum, sister Louise Conwell Sims, step-children John and Martha Baggett and Connie and Stan Morse, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
