Stanley "Nut" Chastain passed away away on Thursday, August 27, 2009.
He was the former governor and member of the VFW-Moose Lodge, and owner of Chastain Welding & Repair.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at 3pm from the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. The family is at the home and will receive friends from 7-9 Saturday night at Berry Funeral Home. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in his honor to Odyssey Health Care 855 Gaines School Road Suite G Athens, GA 30605.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Rice Chastain; daughter, Janis Deanne Chastain; and brothers, Steve Chastain, Clyde "Buddy" Chastain, and Carter Chastain.
