Ezra Wallace

Ezra P. Wallace, age 79, of 1262 Country Club Road, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2009.

The graveside service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 2pm from Forest Hills Memorial Park. Reverend Douglas Huff will officiate. The family will be at the home of Jim and Michelle Welch, 1259 Golf Course Road. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to:
St. Judes Chidren's Hospital

Elbert County Humane Society

Pallbearers will include Kip Hufstetler, Randy Parham, Joe Johnson, Gairy Adams, Kevin Blackmon, and Ronnie Blackmon.

Born in Elbert County, he was a son of the late Hut Wallace and Eunice Flynn Wallace. He was a retired Blacksmith, a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon for many years. Mr. Wallace was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean conflict serving in the Company "B" 141 Tank Battalion. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joe Brown Wallace and Troy Wallace; and one sister, Sara Lee Butler.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Morrow Wallace of Elberton; daughter and son-in-law Michele and Jim Welch of Elberton; brothers Eugene Wallace of Elberton and Lawrence Wallace of Bowman.
