Charles "Bo" Johnson

Mr. Charles "Bo" Johnson, age 77, of Abbeville passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 11am from the chapel of Calhoun Falls Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening in the funeral home. Rev. Donnie Murdock and Rev. Tim Adams will officiate and burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to:

Greenwood, South Carolina 29646.

Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Herbert A. Johnson and Kathleen Evans Johnson, and was a member of First Creek Baptist Church in Anderson. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Rose Mary Johnson; and his brothers, Lloyd Johnson, Billy Johnson, and Vernon Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Johnson of Abbeville; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sharon Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Milton Dye, both of Elberton; step-sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Kristi Newton of Abbeville and Richard and Beth Newton of Greenwood; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four step-grandchildren.

Calhoun Falls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
